These two examples of walking routes are easy to follow, and take between 90 minutes and 2 hours. Duration times don't include the amount of time you would need if you visit the interior of any attraction (York Minster Cathedral takes at least one hour to visit, just to mention an example)

  • Treasurer's House
  • St William’s College
  • Shambles, medieval street
  • Stonegate
  • End of tour in front of the main entrance of York Cathedral.

Option 2:

York Minster (Cathedral)

Bootham Bar (access to the city wall)
